  The Rancher's Daughter is a family-owned Farm to Table Store offering locally sourced, high-quality meats, produce, and value-added products. Our mission is to connect consumers with the best food directly from the farm, while supporting local ranchers, farmers, and artisans. We provide exceptional customer service, and our store is a community hub for those who appreciate fresh, sustainable products.

  We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead our team and take The Rancher’s Daughter to new heights. The ideal candidate will be passionate about local food, have a strong background in retail management, and be excited to build relationships with customers, vendors, and the community.

  Key Responsibilities:

  As Store Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the store and play a critical role in driving sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Inventory & Product Management

• ●  Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, ensure product availability, and prevent overstocking or understocking issues.

• ●  Ordering Products: Place and track orders for all products, including fresh meats, produce, and value-added items.

• ●  Adding New Products: Identify new products and vendors to diversify the store’s offerings, including seasonal items and exclusive Rancher’s Daughter-branded products.

• ●  Vendor Reports & Communication: Build relationships with vendors, maintain communication, and ensure timely delivery and quality of products.

  2. Employee Management & Training

• ●  Employee Scheduling: Create and manage employee schedules based on store needs, customer traffic, and sales goals.

• ●  Staff Training: Provide ongoing training for new and current employees, ensuring they understand product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards.

● Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer feedback to staff.

3. Sales & Customer Service

• ●  Sales Goals: Actively contribute to meeting store sales goals each quarter and take proactive measures to drive sales.

• ●  Counter Work & Customer Interaction: Engage with customers at the counter, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service.

• ●  Customer Service: Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

  4. Marketing & Community Engagement

• ●  Social Media Management: Oversee social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), create engaging content, and manage promotions and customer interactions.

• ●  Email Marketing: Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to promote products, sales events, and store news.

• ●  Outside Community Involvement: Build relationships with local organizations, farmers, and the community to promote The Rancher's Daughter and enhance its presence.

• ●  Wholesale Management: Manage wholesale orders and relationships with local businesses and restaurants, ensuring timely deliveries and quality.

  5. Financial & Administrative Tasks

• ●  QuickBooks: Input daily transactions and monitor financial data to ensure accuracy in the store’s accounting system.

• ●  Inbox Management: Manage the store’s email inbox, responding to customer inquiries, vendor communications, and other administrative needs in a timely manner.

• ●  Shipping Management: Coordinate and track all shipping orders, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers.

  6. Product Development & Value-Added Products

• ●  Creating Value-Added Products: Assist with the creation of new value-added products such as sausages, marinades, or prepared foods to increase sales and product variety.

• ●  Ranch Club Management: Oversee the operations of the Ranch Club, ensuring members receive their products on time, coordinating special offers, and growing membership.

Company Culture

The Rancher's Daughter is a farm-to-table retail store on Highway 206 in Kalispell, Montana and on 135 E Idaho Street. partnering with local agriculture producers to bring safe and diverse products to the Flathead Valley. We feel God has given us a platform to promote the sustainability of Montana farmers, ranchers, and makers for the next generation while providing the consumer with an option for education and local food products. We understand the value of varying operations and consumer choices. We will carry grain-fed, grass-fed, organic, conventional, and everything in between. We understand this choice is individual for consumers and all types of agriculture production help feed the world. Our sales staff will be trained to educate consumers on the safety and benefits of each sector of the ag industry.
